Well...they could adopt a more stable currency? Their purchasing power would take a massive hit but at least they would have a currency. Maybe Fidel Castro was right about us "greedy western pigs" .

I'm telling you now tinned produce, 12 bore and plenty of ammo are what you need.

I don't see it as likely that currencies will fail but they may need to de-peg and take a massive hit.

as a non-financial worker - surely in effect this is the same crisis... credit meltdown. zero lending capabilty. over extended in areas that will not return. give it 18 months and DXB property is going to be a very different place I think...
