This week...
Breakfast - hit and miss. Toast, eggs, fruit or whatever else is there.
Lunch - typically a sandwich.
Dinner - Like Reddiva, I'm a bit of a cook so
Saturday, Prawn Dupiaza and saffron pilau rice
Sunday, Applesauce, mustard and cinnamon glazed Pork Chops with Fondant potatoes and ratatouille
Monday, Pad Thai
Tuesday, Salmon baked in pecan crunch coating with Gratin Potatoes and garlic roasted brocolli
Wednesday Lamb shanks with Mustard and mint, Fondant potatoes, Honey Garlic Carrots.
Thursday, Fruity curried chicken salad.
Friday lunch, Crab and Avocado salad with mango salsa
All of the above is totally home made with no purchased sauces etc as I hate all of the additives and other crap.
Friday night - Daaaan the pub for weekly treat of dinner out

My. I see you two do a lot of cooking.
I do my weekly cooking in about a hour on Saturday morning.
Your menus do sound great. How much time do you spend cooking on a typical night?

Breakfast - nearly always this: 500ml milk, handful of oats, handful of nuts, 2 or 3 Weetabix, a banana and a scoop and half of chocolate protein powder - whizz with a handheld blender (not much washing up).
Lunch - maybe a chicken stir fry, a couple of pieces of filet steak, a chicken salad
Dinner - a roast chicken with some veg, meat (steak, lamb) with some veg, a homemade pie, stir fry, pasta bake, a stew, jambalaya, breaded escalopes, homemade burgers.
I work from home mainly, so all I eat is home made, and I have enough time (and energy) to cook. Sometimes I'll even bake a cake.
Tonight I had a homemade cauliflower soup and 'fajita' kebabs.

During the week i am home by 5.30pm so tea usually takes 45 mins to 1 hour. I am not a fan of takeaways ( Being born in the 70's there was only fish and chips) by the time the takeaway arrives here it is usually lukewarm and i like steaming hot food There are always leftovers that i can freeze which saves time. Curries and stews always taste better the day after. My freezer is only full of leftovers and ice cream. You would be surprised how much money you save too as no food goes in the bin.

On a Saturday I batch cook my dinners for the week. It usually takes me an hour or so ( dishwasher and the nutribullet help)

Breakfast - usually black coffee and 5 cigs
Lunch - Nothing
Dinner (usually at 4:30 or 5)
I am trying to eat cleanly - Last night poached chicken breasts, used that stock to make rice (was attempting to make jollof rice first time but didnt have tomatos which are a key ingredient! so i just threw in some curry powder!) - that will last me probably 3 nights.

I don't do takeaways either. For me lunches are yogurts (plain), lunches during the work week is steamed broccoli and a carrot and lentil dish I make on Saturdays and portion out and I now add a diced egg to it. Weeknight dinners, if I remember to eat, is just a salad, bit of oil and vinegar and diced eggs. I recently increased to two diced eggs as I want to increase the protein intake.
Do eat out on weekends. It varies. Saturday nights I usually have a cracking good burger and chips made by my hotel bar, it's surprisingly right on the money. I'm not trying to save money on cooking more (to the contrary I don't think it's possible for me to spend even less on food) but I'm working out more and the workout is becoming more intense, which implies I need to increase the food intake. And therein lies the problem.
Reddiva and Shed's menus do have me salivating but they're very meat oriented and I don't necessarily want to increase the meat intake (I'm meat free Sunday-Thursday). But we'll see how that works out as I can feel the body starting to crave more meat.

breakfast: low-sugar granola and home-made yogurt
lunch: last nights dinner
dinner: tomorrow's lunch.
today is home-made pork meatballs in a soy, chilli and ginger sauce that I made.
Cooking never takes more than an hour, including eating it and washing up.

Re: What is your menu like during a typical week?
Weekdays:-
Breakfast - porridge and banana
Lunch - sandwich and occasionally a soup - bought from work canteen
Dinner - curry or something equivalent - got a lady that cooks home-made dishes - Emphasis to make it as healthy as possible
Weekends:-
Eat out for breakfast and dinner. Skip lunch
I can't be bothered to cook and don't have time to be fair. Plus too much hassle to clean up. The ex-wife used to cook but the above has served me well for the past 3 months since the separation.
