Default Can anyone recommend a good, RELIABLE moving company?

We're moving 15 mins up the road to Al Mizhar in 3 weeks time and need a proper moving company to help us, someone who will take care of our furniture,

we have 2 big plasma tvs, my mac, a big lovely bed that will need taken apart and put back together at our new place and our wardrobes etc which are fairly heavy,

has anyone used anyone good they can recommend please?

ta all....

ACME REMOVALS?

I heard they are real careful

On a serious note, I used some guys who did a good job when I moved, I think I have the number at home, I will check and get back to you later.

Try dubizzle, usually loads of thoses 'Man With A Van' adverts.

Just used GAC and they did a brilliant job. Moved us in two days although I should have allowed the three they wanted to save us the bother of unpacking some of the boxes. Not the cheapest but very considerate, polite and careful. And no, I don't work for them!

global relocations, absolutely brilliant, took very good care of stuff, packed and unpacked everything even laid out the rooms and moved all the garden plants. took them 1 day as well. not one breakage, really nice guys, they kept phoning to let me know how they were getting on and estimated eta at new villa, simply amazing especially for here.

will try dig out a no. am sure i posted it on here before though so try a search

But Spugsy I thought plasma TVs were out of date, mainly because you cannot repair them if they get damaged. LCDs are more reliable, surely?

one is plasma and one LCd, they are both about 6 months old so I'm sure they've got a bit of life left in them yet my petal....

both are sony and both are great, 42" plasma and 36" LCD, the PS3 plays brilliantly on both and to be honest, I haven't watched any blu ray films on them yet, but I'm sure I will sooner or later.
