In fairness, the camels are having quite a damaging effect on the land, not to mention shitting in ancient aboriginal water sources, rendering them useless.

Humans v's animals, animals have to go, just the way it is.

Seems like a waste to me. Why don't they eat them?

How’s about using their skins to make a trendy (NOT) new boot for the ladies, something to rival the chav style UGG boot.

UGG boots sale at around £200.00 a pop here. Surprised the chav's can afford them actually?

As someone has said, they're not native and damage the native environment here. This happened in an Australian outback town a couple of years ago http://www.abc.net.au/news/2009-11-2...e-shot/1157190, they're feral animals. I used to have a pet one taken from the wild when he was a baby as my grandfather made camel saddles, he was a little crazy but he loved me.

Interesting they're still alive and not 'hunted to extinction'. I wonder if it's worth taking endangered species from other countries and exporting them to Oz too.

I was thinking lions, tigers, and of course Tories, so the lions and tigers don't eat all the local mammals.
