Default Best Lebanese in Dubai

Not the people, of course. That'd be a daft (and impossible) question.

But the food. Which restaurants are good options for excellent Lebanese fare a cut above the rest?

Can't say I've had a bad one..... it's pretty much only meat after all.

There's a few decent ones on 2nd Dec St.e.

Went to quite an interesting Iranian in Diera the other week. Was decent. A tip off from an Iranian colleagu

Actually, Iranian could be the trick. You're thinking of Shabestan? They have a liquor licence (at least they did the one time I went in my first year in Dubai eons ago).

The Lebanese places tend to be more similar than dissimilar so it's hard to think of any that truly stand out from the pack, regardless of whether you've spent 50PP or 200PP.

Does Lebanese Flower have a restaurant in Dubai? That was always my go-to one in AD.

Very true. I have eaten several times at the supposedly high-end Abd El Wahab at Pier 7 and also the one in Souk al Bahar. Both have good food (and a licence) but are seriously pricey for what is pretty bog-standard mezze and grilled meat. The Souk al Bahar one was also incredibly noisy. I've eaten at the Leb place in the MoE (Karam?) a few times which looks out on Ski Dubai, also good but pricey.

If I'm looking for this style of food my go-to restaurant is the Istanbul Flower on SZR or Al-Hadoota (Egyptian) - also SZR. Honourable mention goes to Abshar on the Beach road which is a great Iranian. Oh and the restaurant in the courtyard at Wafi Mall is always good if a bit expensive (no licence and no kids as it's a shisha place).

I enjoy a Lebanese but in reality it's generally poorly cooked meat and shit load of weird salad, all served with garlic paste.

I'm not moaning but how good can it get?

Al Mallah on Diyafah street for shawarma and falafael and a killer fatoush (Lebanese food is far more than meat....all those yummy veggie dips and salads).

Hallab in Garhoud for sit down table service though it's a pain to get to...

Fakr Al Din on Piccadilly or their branch in Paris is even better... Mind-bogglingly good and nothing like your silly description.

Despite my enthusiasm for it, I was disappointed to find this thread was about food....

Mmmm Best Lebanese bit of an oxymoron really! I always find Lebanese food very pleasing on the eye but a failure otherwise, perhaps I have not been to the right places!

I think you are confusing the food and the women.

Al Nafoora at Emirates Towers (licensed) is expensive and was good (not been for quite a while though).

Love Lebanese food, some in Beirut and Byblos are amazing - tend not to eat so much out here, more as delivery.
