Re: Beard Bip
how do you folks shave your own head? isn't it difficult to shave the back of your head without cutting yourself?

Re: Beard Bip
Its pretty easy with a decent set of clippers (Wahl ones on a cable). I just do an all over random attack and then go over it a few times section by section to ensure I haven't missed any bits. I often don't cut in the neckline but with grade 1 its not essential. Other times I do. That take a bit more skill.

I have the braun 'cruizer' (or however they spell it) and it's shit. Need some actual clippers to trim a beard of any real substance.

Ive been through a couple in my time and all of them are shite if you want them to do all the jobs. Some are good at some and others will be good others. I once found a Phillips that was perfect for all types of jobs, like the total zero down to the skin as well as the 3/4 type beard. Loved it for a couple of years and then my nephew broke it. I hate the bugger!

Head and beard, usually on setting 2, or 1 if I'm feeling rad. I go over my head multiple times just to ensure I haven't missed bits (not that there's a huge amount to miss); beard's easier, coz I can actually see what I'm doing.
And occasionally elsewhere...

My second set are Philips. Cordless and so you need to recharge. They have a 'turbo' button and come with several switchable heads and are decent for beard trimming, detailing etc. This is my 3rd set as the head connection wears out after a year or twos heavy use. I wouldn't even attempt to do my head with them though.

So there seems to be a shocking number of boreders who have close-shaved heads and neatly trimmed beards. It's like the old London Apprentice never closed....
