Re: bathroom showrooms
I remember seeing a large bathroom showroom somewhere along Sheikh Zayed Rd on the side where Times Square and Oasis Centre are located but, if you want a good deal, somewhere in Sharjah must be your answer.

Try top of Al Najda St (6th) where it meets Defence Road (11th) - there are some in that area. Are you really serious about replacing the bathroom in a rental place!

Re: bathroom showrooms
as someone has mentioned defence road, opp navy gate there are a couple of bathrooms showrooms, next to kitchen places too but they wont be cheap, but if you are renting why not just go with ikea, unless you intend taking it with you when you leave?

@ lionheart
The one on SZR is Bagno. Bought a folding shower screen there for our guest bathroom which has a shower over bath (at their previous location on the side road opposite the old Oasis Centre) about 4 years' ago. A bit pricey but, you know what, it's still as good as new and we consider that to be a result!
Would have loved to fit out our bathroom in DXB with their stuff but the thought of the cost brought on palpitations - had to go home and have a glass (or several) of grape juice to get over it.
To the OP would say if you're in the area it's worth a look. Even 4 years' ago we haggled the price down a bit - could be worth trying as everybody's struggling these days.
