no ban needed...use the ignore button if you must...
If we start banning people for boring/uninteresting post there would be no one left...the forum usually has it's on way of filtering out the unwanted...it's pretty self regulating.

Instead, why not just have a democratic way of closing threads when they get out of hand? Like - we all post "Close It Please Mr Boredfuhrer" or whatever......
And after all, whichever idiot it was that started that "Meeting A Woman" thread couldn't possibly have anticipated what it would lead to.........
