Australia or New Zealand
Which one. And why?
(assuming to live and assume you have your ideal job).

NZ. No question. Nicer scenery and fewer poisonous spiders and other fauna.

Only been to one city in one of them but it was pretty sick.
Kiwi's seem better people though, on the whole....but NZ is apparently the Wales of the Southern hemisphere, so I'd probably end up in Australia. It appears that more Kiwi's go there than Aussies to Auckland / Wellington / Christchurch etc so must be better.

It depends on the sport you follow I guess, if it's Cricket I'd move to NZ, Rugby I'd move to Aus - that way at least the English (that I'd be supporting) had a chance of winning.

Auckland = Wet and warm
Wellington = Windy
Christchurch = Earthquakey
Dunedin = Cold
Taking a punt for example that coming from the middle east, you might enjoy the heat, expat life and the money then I would say Australia.
I think you might find NZ a bit stodgy, home baked and low-budget by comparison.

Re: Australia or New Zealand
I have no current plans to move to either country nor is it likely to happen (at least in the foreseeable future).
But if I were to ever emigrate somewhere permanently it would be one of the two.
Australia is more modern and a bit more connected to the rest of the world but I love the more relaxed and off the beaten path charm of New Zealand. It also helps that I have good friends there. I'd love to be on the South Island somewhere. Maybe Wanaka. I'd be trekking every weekend and the coffee!
Australia obviously has the bigger and better economy, which is the real reason the Kiwis move to Australia and not the other way around. But Kiwis are better people altogether. Too many Daves and Sheilas in Australia.
But would I miss the modernity of Australia and properly big cities?

Well if I was forced I’d go with Auz mostly for the weather and development. I wouldn’t actually want to do that though as they are totally different to their marketing image and are a bunch of overweight uptight whiners.

And that's just the white folk, don't get me started on the Abos.

Most places rarely live up to the hype. Lots of white trash in Australia and oddly enough, proud to be white trash. But there's no Melbourne or Sydney in NZ.

I generally try not to get drawn into pointless what if type discussions but how could I resist you.

Never seen anything like it. Mind blowing how dickhead-ish they are over drinking and smoking yet allow every poor ****ed to throw thousands at pokey machines without restriction.
