The reason I ask is that I may be offered a job to come back to Dubai soon. Well, I've been waiting for decision-makers to make decisions, which as we all know is like waiting for a glacier to move...

He is a typical supporter of the IRA, supports in ideology only, has no experience of the actual reality of the IRA. Interesting side fact, the original IRA are a Marxist organisation in terms of outlook.

If I'm honest, I try to avoid any IRA chat. The people who do want to get into debate about it are generally far more knowledgeable and passionate about the topic. It's one of those sort of pointless things for me to get involved in.

What's so controversial in pointing out the IRA were a terror organisation whose atrocities killed many innocent people? They'd be the first to admit it.

Nothing, nothing at all. But the response to that is often so emotional and animated that it's not even worth joining in those discussions. I can't be bothered with it.

See I view them as largely proto-Catholic fascist bullies with a veneer of left-wing propaganda that the core membership (Slab Murphy et al) never really bought - though Ruari O Bradaigh's daughter tried to beat me up when I made the same point at a Gaeltacht summer school aged 11.....

More akin to the Ndragheta than the Shining Path.

Back on topic.

This is nothing short of a ****ing mauling.

Cook can retire. I've backed him for about 2 years too long.
Anderson should retire, along with Broad. Both too arrogant to perform nowadays.
Bayliss should go too. Too many off the field incidents this tour showing he has no control or direction.

Just a ****ing shambles and embarrassing to lose to this Aussie side.

Did I forget to mention Moeen?

He can't bowl, bat or catch. A cardboard cut out of himself would be more useful.
