I'm sorry. I've got to admit. That made me snigger literally.

I think it's entirely plausible that they mobilised that many officers. What better way to discourage people from trying it in the future than to show you'll use completely overwhelming force to track you down.

That and it's not like they're doing much anyway. Every day I travel to work down Emirates Road, there's a cop sat in his Xterra catching speeders on the bridge to MotorCity.
