Hi Bored,

Anyone been to the above Indian Restaurant? Reviews seem good on Time Out and am thinking to go there over the weekend.

Many times and I like it. Mainly Keralan and/or Southern Indian style food. Rydges Plaza ia such an ugly hotel, but has plenty of decent restaurants and a couple of bars. Note that if going on Friday the beer is Dhs 20 a pint in Aussie Legends, but it is 'Metal Asylum' night so by 9.30pm it is full of IT geeks in brand new rock band t-shirts doing the \m/ sign to each other.

I think Coconut Grove is one of Auto's favourites too, so he's bound to pop up with a comment at some point. (I want curry for lunch now.)

So how was it for you? I went there about 18 months ago and found it perfectly reasonable.

i love coconut grove, i think it's one of the best indians here...the food is really spicy if that's what you want, or not, if you don't want...and the people there are lovely...great views and pretty cheap...

Gotta agree with MM. Went there last Thursday with 12 friends and had a fabulous meal for a very reasonable (dirt cheap in my view) price. The devilled prawns were as spicy as when I lived in Sri Lanka. Anyone who likes it HOT needs to go there.

Oh and the band in Aussies after dinner were pretty good too.
