In any case, what this goes to show is that allowing the Niqab or Burqa prevents the attacker from being identified. Britain should follow France and ban it in public spaces.

How many crimes are actually committed by Muslim women wearing the Niqab? Very very few I imagine.

Lets ban wigs, large spectacles, caps that obscure the heads and other paraphernalia that could disguise someone too. Remeber the Israeli hit on that bloke in Dubai where the woman changed her hair after entering the wc.

Shocking crime nevertheless, the things people do to get revenge as I doubt this was a random attack...

This has nothing to do with Muslim women, religious or racial prejudice. Britain does face a risk from Islamist terrorism and there are security implications in this. I was involved in the aftermath of an armed robbery at an exclusive jewellery store in an upmarket shopping mall in South Africa a few years ago. The perpetrators - African males - disguised themselves as Muslim women, concealed automatic weapons under their burqas, and shot their way out of the mall when the alarm was raised. A guard was wounded and it could have been a lot worse.

Considering the prevalence of this type of dress in many cities, and the sensitivity about challenging anyone wearing it, I think it's only a matter of time until terrorists use this as camouflage.

Appalling yes, but so are all violent crimes. It isn't worse because of the clothes that were worn while the crime was committed.

Like the airports, a simple check by female security guards to make sure who's who should be adequate for malls, banks etc...

Talking about robberies, remember that bloke who wore a latex mask so he appeared to be white but in fact was not... Dunno how he got caught but good detective work nevertheless...point is, why should the vast majority change their lifestyle for the crimes commited by criminals, who will always find ways to commit their deeds.

Allowing anyone to wander around with their face almost entiely covered anywhere is asking for trouble. You have to take a skid lid off when you go into a bank for this reason. I'm all for freedom of expression but unfortunately in todays climate... If it was muslim men covering their faces and heads...

This is worse than the average violent crime because the Islamic community demands that Niqab/Burqa be protected by law. If Britain had outlawed such garb then the attacked may have been confronted by police before he/she attacked.So In this case the clothes very much is the issue.
