I'm set to go, but I can't make a firm commitment until my boss agrees. It's going to be a hard decision for him but when he's ready, mixed reactions are what I expect. I can't wait to see his face - mental!

Re: 2013 World of Concrete exhibition
I'm set to go to the one in Portland. But I'm suffering a bit of a slump at the moment, and it'll be a real test for me. These shows are great, and in the aggregate they're worthwhile—last year's in California was a great foundation, bearing in mind the ratio of constituents. However, some can be quite ordinary (which I expect of the Portland one), but they do cement relationships. Despite the slump, my resolve to go is rapidly hardening; I've been a bit ill recently, but with 28 days left I expect to have (re)gained sufficient strength—time will cure. There's also one in Aruba in May this year, much at the same time as the music festival there—I'm not sure how all that soul can fete resistance against a concrete show, though: I guess they're gonna need some reinforcements.
Last year at one of the conferences I had far too many G&Ts, was severely degraded—well and truly terrazzo'd. Absolutely 'spalling.
