Lived in Beni Suef, Egypt on-and-off for about 6 months. It had the distinction of being the poorest province / county / area in the world, as assessed by the WHO. I was working for a Japanese company, and we rented an 8-storey apartment building, one man per room, and still the sewage system couldn't cope. Then the Koreans moved in next door in an identical building, and put 4 men per room. Soon afterwards amoebic dysentry broke out.

I imagine the queue for the bathroom must be horrific, poor buggers must get about 30 seconds to use it befroe they have the next person banging on the door!

What I meant was............ they don't bother going to the bathroom, as it's too much hassle to clamber over 38 people sleeping on the floor.

we had to move out from a semi detached house when 50 indian males moved in, complained to the muncipality and was told that cant be right, as not allowed, yeh right.!!!!! anyway 5 bathrooms for 50 people, they put up lots of sinks outside in the back area, and they would throw their rubbish over our wall, they would smoke in the house so it would come through the vents, loud music....etc and which company were they working for LULU!!!!
