The Exile of Expatriate Life
To the Ancient Romans and their subject peoples, exile was a terrible punishment. Worse than death. Expatriation was how you punished the enemies you really hated. Reflect on that, those among you who lust after a life in Dubai, Hong Kong or Kuala Lumpur

Romans thought of Rome in much the same way that today's Londoners think of London. That nowhere else matters.
The seeds of the Falll of the Roman Empire are there. I think the analogy can be extended to today....
