Wonderful pictures. UK towns have so much character that i hard to find anywhere else, you have captured this character beautifully.

Brilliant photos, thanks. Definitely looks like a livable city. Lots of interesting looking cafés and pubs. I never knew Carlisle was a cathedral city.

Yes it's pretty affordable there, although we're planning on living in Hexham about 30 miles to the east.

Looks pretty much like it did when we left there in 2006! I used to love Watt's coffee shop, and that Caffeine Rush coffee cart at the station hasn't changed...
