Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs
Sorry for the delay in replying to this.
I'd keep the satellite dish if your tenants offer to leave it, in case your freeview reception turns out to be deficient.
Our tenants had not asked our permission to put up a satellite dish, or a number of other fixtures, and they left them all, rather than remove them and make good. Because we are nice people, we gave them back the fixtures inside the house, but I wasn't going to remove the satellite dish and leave a hole in our rendering. We did give them some money, but I admit it probably didn't cover the cost of the dish. If they'd asked our permission to put up the dish, I would have refused it because of the damage to the render.

Freesat is not Sky. For free sat you just need a box, and there is no more to pay.
With Sky, you pay a monthly sum for their channels. Sports fanatics seem to think it is worthwhile, but most people I know think it is too expensive. With Sky, you'd be using their set top box, not a freesat one.
You can get Sky broadband, but that might not be the best deal. There are comparison websites. The choice is much greater than in the UK.
Apart from Sky, in the UK broadband is not normally packaged with TV, but often is packaged with landline phone. Remember to check broadband speed in your area as well.

Both Amazon and Apple also do TV boxes that you can use with a smart TV to hire films and TV programmes (and do other things that I never bother to get my head round). They are add-ons to your existing system.

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs
I have really been enjoying "The House that ƒ100K built" on the beeb. I have found it quite inspirational to the point where I shall definitely consider doing this on my return. I would much rather find a piece of land and build a place than settle for something ready built which is not going to be very appealing on my budget.
Couldn't get past episode 3 of Cordon. Too bleak.
Glad 'University Challenge" is back.

I'm enjoying Partners in Crime, on Sundays, 9 pm, BBC 1, based on the Tommy and Tuppence stories by Agatha Christie.

"Doctor Foster" new drama starring Suranne Jones tonight at 9.00 pm on BBC1. Wife suspects hubby is having an affair. The trailers and write ups make it sound quite intriguing.
