Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs
last night we in UK saw the last episode of Mr Selfridge, and it was great, with an interesting twist at the end, but it will come back again next year, so looking forward to that.

I enjoy Mr Selfridge too. I was hoping the series would run to 12 episodes.

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs
I watch it but still feel acting is over the top esp Jeremy Piven. Just IMHO..

Watch Coalition last night, and very glad we did too. Answered the question: who the heck are the Lib-Dems?

Ooooh, do check out "Back in Time for Dinner" on BBC 2
It is about a family who are taking part in an experiment of British kitchens and cooking over the last 50 years.
It's the second part this evening and it's fascinating.
Who remembers Vesta curries and chop suey.....it was our treat on a Saturday night whilst watching The Generation Game lol...

I've just started watching Season 2 of Rita. Loved first season and second looks just as good.

Just saw part one of a two parter - Code of a Killer. The story of Alec Jeffreys' discovery of DNA fingerprinting and its first use by DCS David Baker in catching a double murderer. On ITV, starring John Simm. A well done drama.

Didn't think I fancied this one until I read a fuller description of the story. I have recorded it, so will catch up on it later.

I am really enjoying this. I find that I can't wait for the next episode... and not just because John Simm is in it

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs
There is so much to watch right now. I am guessing that is why it's a little quieter on here right now.
Here's what I am really liking right now:
Masterchef, though I can't stand Greg Wallace. Why a man whose 2 restaurants went bankrupt is giving pretentious opinions on food, I do not know. I would like it if they focused more on how they are making those fabulous dishes.
University Challenge, final on Monday. Some of those contestants are brilliant. I like seeing if there are a few questions I can answer. Keeps the mind working.
Indian Summers, great show.
Gardeners' World, Beechgrove Garden, Kew on a Plate (was really impressed by this).
Poldark,
Secret Britain,
DCI Banks,
Vera (off to a great start),
Blue Murder.
Already mentioned Code of a Killer.
Just started watching the US version of House of Cards on Netflix... you lot convinced me, and you're right... it's really good.
Then there are shows I haven't even got to yet...
Rita (Thanks Fulwood),
Back in Time for Dinner.
It's an embarassment of riches.
What are you watching?

Re: Broadchurch and Other UK TV Programs
Over here in the UK Im happy to see a few big hollywood movie stars making TV commercials, ----- like Arnold Schwarzenegger in the meerkat commercials, very funny, and Sylvesta Stalone and George Clooney in others,
I often wondered why big stars like that make TV ads, they all must be worth at least 100 million dollars each so they dont need the money, but then I think there TV contracts with these big companies must be worth millions to them also so I guess its a way to get a bit of extra pocket money
