Default BRAZIl - Is "União estável" recognized in the UK?

I've been living with my English fiancé for the last 3 years in Brazil and we're considering moving to the UK in the next few years. We have a stable union registered in Brazil, is it recognized in the UK? Can I apply for a marriage visa instead of a fiancé visa?

="Marriage by habit and repute". I do not think that expression is in common use, and it may in fact have been a term from Scots Law. From what I can see, a stable relationship MAY be treated as similar to a marriage.
