Post Switch from Work permit to Working holiday visa

Hi all,

I am an Australian working in Ireland. I came here on a work permit (sponsored by the company I am working for). By law, I have to work for at least one year for the company that I got the work permit for. But, that is if I decide to live in Ireland on work permit.

I am terribly unhappy in this job. I am under 30. I was thinking of resigning from here and switch to Working holiday visa that would allow me to live in Ireland for one year.

I was wondering if my chances of being eligible for WHV would be hampered, if I have lived here on a work permit?

Thanks
