Hi all this is all new to me so please be patient , I will hopefully be moving over in august with hubby and 2 kids aged 12 and 7 we will be purchasing a property outright when we find one we like , areas we like so far are county kilkenny , wexford, waterford . I don't drive but husband does so I need to be in walking distance to primary schools and basic shops does anyone know of any particular areas that are good or bad in any of these places, any in particular to avoid for whatever reason or ghost estates to avoid , we are coming over in February to have a good look around . O.k no advice as yet , how about freshford does anyone know of this area and how is it to live there and the secondary school in Johnstown is it ok, any advice at all please , will be visiting in February so need to plan areas to visit.

Kilkenny is a beautiful place with some good shopping mall.. so is wexford . so is most of Ireland . go for it buddy longs as you drive you will be ok
