Hi,

Can anyone recommend jobsites or employment agencies that specialize in healthcare jobs in Ireland. I am currently finishing a CCA (continuing care Assistant) course in Nova Scotia, Canada. I was born in England, but want to move to Ireland when I graduate.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated

Most regular recruitment agents, e.g. Hays/Randstad etc probably also have a healthcare arm. It would be worth searching for 'Dublin (or other location) recruitment agencies'.

Will the Canadian qualification be recognised in Ireland ?

There is a application form you can fill out for the recognition of foreign qualifications through the QQI in Dublin Ireland.

But Canada really does have the best health care and training in the world. (expensive, but good) It will open many doors back in Europe.

Canada's health care education does not necessarily open doors in Europe. A good friend who is a Canadian trained pediatric oncology nurse, Batchelor of Nursing, (has had experience working in Canada after graduation) moved to England with her partner. After 9 months of trying she gave up - simply could not satisfy the English authorities with her qualifications.
