Maybe this will answer your question:

Couples suspected of entering sham marriages in Ireland will be investigated

Generally speaking brown envelopes with cash in them speed up admin in Ireland.

Always remember; there is no problem in this world, that cold hard cash in an envelope cannot solve.

It always amuses me, and never ceases to amaze me; when helpless and hopeless people on here pose a question that 30 seconds of searching on Google can answer.

Let me Google that for you.

The EU directive sets a 6 month time limit, and in practice you will wait the full 6 months. In Ireland we have 2 speeds; dead slow, and stop.

On a positive note, your application will have been processed by a Jobbridge intern getting an extra 50 Euro per week on their dole; for working 30 hours per week in admin for the Irish state. Happy days.

As a child my mother used to tell me; don't mock the afflicted.

So I wont.

Still at 38 years old, I find it tempting though...

At least they're not asking questions about the Surinder Singh route as per usual.

The KIng of the Brown Envelope was one Bertie Ahern. When he was Finance Minister he didn't have a bank account and used to keep his safe stuffed with cash at his constituency office, St Lukes. Sad but true.

Dear london irish,

It sounds like you are the villain of this forum.
I didnt think that a simple and straightforward question can bring so many negative things in your brain.I am amazed that you recall what your mother said 30 years ago..I am surprized a simple and short question can make you think about whole system and you go through irrelevant news links.
Please clean and give a good sweep to your brain and think positive.
Help yourself first then think about helping others.

London Irish thought he was going to live in a rich and prosperous country when he migrated there from the Yookay. He was disappointed and now takes it out on other, less fortunate migrant workers !
