München Ost will do for trains via Kufstein.

You might try to buy open year returns to Innsbruck or MUC.

Munich Airport to Innsbruck by train
2:15 travel time
One change in München Ost (S-Bahn to München Ost, from there EC train to
Innsbruck).
Ticket for your family would be EUR 56,-.
The problem with the buses walter was writing about is that they are
provided by the package tour companies, i.e. no regular public service.
See Munich Airport page about this
http://www.munich-airport.de/EN/Area...s/index.html#I
If you want to rent a car for the first few days it is *much* cheaper to
give it back in Germany (e.g. Rosenheim, 1 hour by train to Innsbruck) than
to pay the international drop off fee. Or you find a company which doesn't
charge one.

If the human brain were simple enough that we could understand it, we would
be so simple that we couldn't.

Funny,
Well, I was only a continent or two away. Hopefully that will be the worst
mistake I make this week.

I frequently get post sent to Australia from the UK. It normally ends up in
Brisbane (4020 post code ?). It's not just you.

It was for a while. Some wish it still were.
And apart from the colour of the road-signs, I dare to find a significant
difference.
