Australia's Property Bubble...

... is about to burst.

You can almost guarantee that when the 'experts' are telling us why it won't happen, that that is a sure indicator that it is going to.

Australia is way overpriced in property, by as much as 50% in many places.

It is as certain as tomorrow that a crash is on the cards - Australia is not immune, nor was the US or the UK etc.

If you start saying to yourself stuff like..."No, we're different here.." you are merely echoing every other place and person who have been there felt it.

Not pointless.

One can sell up now and buy cheap in the UK.

One can sell up and rent and wait for the crash to buy cheap.

One can do nothing.

Hardly pointless.

Sydney's house prices will never crash. Just like London's house prices haven't really crashed.

Even in bad economic times Sydney is flush with cash, there is always someone willing to spend.

Weren't you a mortgage broker? Seems to be an odd occupation to have when you're telling people it's all going to crash.... or perhaps it's just all bullshit?

Now now Mrs Japonica, plea put your lifejacket on and get in the boat. Your husband will be along just as soon as he can.

Disagree with you there - we made about 50c on our place from 2002 -2009 in Sydney but now it's finally gone up a bit. Really can't see how it would drop again.

I know nothing about either but believe you me, your quilting ones are way more interesting and at least we get to see a finished article.
