car hire,bayswater?? and other car hire etc
 

Hi guys could someone tell me what like car hire bayswater are like?Have many used them and what are there thoughts?
I arrive in perth on the 1st dec at some silly time 00:40 i think most of the hire car places are closed then right?but probably still take your booking but maybe leave keys with someone or places for you to pick up maybe for charge?Or do they just dont do such thing and not open?
Well as this is a akward time,cant complain as the flights was on sale,so if car hire places was still open i am looking to find a place or search engine who could find me the best deal on car hire, so i can take car and say drive to a hostel or whatever i can find that time of night,but this can only happen if i can get car hire that time,which i would book in advance.
The other option would be again to find a place near the airport to stay for the night which say has a shuttle,can pick me up and say maybe drop us off again next day to get car hire from airport,or to go to bayswater.
I am quickly running out of time as i leave on 29th nov and still to get my car hire and place to stay but am confused as to what times these places are open,if i can get car from international airport or if to come back next day after staying close to it,anyone give me info on what they did when arriving this late from flight.
Bayswater does look good for hire,but what like are they,also they mention about $145 top cover damage responibility reduced to $50,does many who have used these guys take that out,as i purchased a insurance from the uk a policy which last 12 months and covers hire car insurance which i paid over £60 so there would be no need for the above right?
My other option is i will be in the city for the 1,2,3 staying in a hotel which yes i could hire a car somewhere but to be honest would rather i have car by then as so much messing about on arrival and again if dropped off in city getting to airport too.

Any advise would be great on the above

Take the shuttle to your Hotel / Motel and hire from Bayswater the next day .
Not sure on insurance as its an extra $8 or $13 a day , would your insurer cover Australia ?
Personally I have never taken extra insurance but that's just me.

we used bayswater in Sydney, just got a cab fro mthe airport that night, then another cab to the renta lplace in the morning. They were great. no problems at all.

Hmmm... works for me, but then again I did the searches so maybe it's stored somehow?

Anyway... a simple search for "Bayswater car hire" and also "Perth airport car hire" will reveal the same results. Just search the titles only and you'll get the most relevant threads.

If Brian wants the info he'll have to learn to use the search function for himself. If he's not bothered to look then I'm not bothered to spend my time cut and pasting the relevant links for him.

Can someone tell me say you book car hire online and you arrive so some silly time 00:40 or there abouts,do they stay open for you so you get your car,i was doing a quick search and was gonna book through a broker for my car hire and i could chat online to someone and they said that they take your flight number and stay there for you is this the case?as anyone else hired a car and arrived about that time and still got there car??

Look at my post approx 8 above ,in the airport link it gives the times of car hire openings in the International Terminal.

don't think any stay open past 1am

Just remember Bayswater is half price because its not in the terminal

where is the times shown?i cant find it,why would a car broker i just talked with online say that they stay open for ya? as this is gonna be important i found somewhere that prices on car hire are ok,and i asked the question about if they are still open to the place i was gonna book through they said it would be as they request the flight number etc,as was planning on getting car once off flight and driving to say a hostel for the night as probably not many places open at that time,
If i could not get car that night plan was to find a hotel not far and go back in morning and to get from airport or from bayswater,i can say my other hire places is not far behind baysawaters prices and i dont have the hassle of having to get there and dropping off the car early on way home.

It really seems as though no one can really answer your question with any level of confidence.

Why don't you just call the car hire place at the airport and find out? Even if you're not booking directly with them (going through a broker) you will still be able to call and ask them if they'll be open for late pick ups or when they close for the night.

Just call the car hire place. They will tell you what's up.

Alternatively, call the broker (or both). They should know the answer or would find out for you.

If you have a car booked they will be open. I replied to you with the same answer the other day.

Bayswater won't be open as they are not on the airport site unless things have changed in 2 years!

We've used Bayswater everytime we've visited WA and they are great.

They have an office on Adelaide Terrace in the city so we too have arrived on a daft hour flight so got a taxi and stayed at the Good Earth Hotel (cheap & clean) and then just wandered across the road to the car hire place when they opened. As easy as.........!

The cars have been fine and have managed to get us around the SW corner and right up to Monkey Mia. We did have to pay extra for going north of Perth and also down to Esperance - if you are planning on going that far!

We also had to extend the car hire while we were travelling which was no problem.
