Cost of golf equipment - UK or OZ
 

As a golf "attempter" I wonder whether golf clubs and accessories are cheaper in the UK or in OZ.
Same for green fees...

Not sure about golf clubs etc, but when we was out there 3 years ago i was playing at my Uncles private club,then it cost him about £400 a year,it was quite posh, 2 restaraunts,small casino,etc, and alovely 18 hole course.I thought £400 was very reasonable compared to England.I also played a lot of public courses,cost about £4.00 a round,one of them they also gave you 3 free golf balls for that.

My impression is that club membership at a good club is not too different from the UK, possibly a bit cheaper.

Green fees generally are much lower.

Let me know if you find a website which allows you to find clubs in an area!

As regards the price of clubs; if you find one which guarantees a 250yd (225m) drive, straight, who cares HOW much it costs! <g>

I drove past a local golf club recently, and noticed it charged $15 per round of golf.
