Ann so what about if we went down the working holiday route / just wondering about houses and things as what help do expats get for settlement when we arrive

You could take him on a WHV, although you are supposed to leave at the end of it, so do be prepared to be questioned a bit more thoroughly if you turn up with a dog. Whether it's worth paying the extortionate amount for pet transport, plus the hassle of finding a landlord happy to accept you with a dog, if you may only be going for a year is another matter entirely. |
Re: Which visa can you take a dog on
I would suggest if coming over with a TWP or other work permit think about pet passport in case you have to return back to the UK. We bought 3 dogs with us when we came over on a TWP

the Dog visa.
They give a certain number of points based on age and breed, and then, after you've paid the fee and waited 6 years, they change everything and throw your dog's app in the bin. |

I moved over here as a tourist initially and my dogs came with me. You don't need any visa to bring them, just the requisite paperwork from your vet.

Best visa to use to get into Canada forever
Hi all
My partner for 4 years is a trained motorcycle Machanic From what we can see on the nova scotia sites or make head and tail from is that we think his skill is one on their list of needed but we need to find a employer for that skill but that is proving quite hard to find ! I was just wondering if anyone had any tips or pointers in the right direction and that would be great |
