Canada TV: Houses Moving TV Shows???
 

Hi guys

Are there any Canadian TV shows where they track down houses for people, people move house etc etc.

ALong the lines of Location Location in the UK?

I've down some serious Google.ca searches and found HGTV but they seem to show lots of American (and UK shows) like Property Virgin etc which are not based around Canadian property.

ANy help much appreciated!!!

I've watched a couple but never paid attention to what they were called. They took place in Canada though... Try Showcase or W as those are two channels on regularly in this house...

Alot of the older property virgin episodes are set in Toronto- Ontario. Its only the new episodes that are all American so if you will see some canadian property if you watch them. Same with househunters there are alot of canadian episodes mixed into the american. Loveit or list it is all canadian aswell. UrbanSuburban is another but they are annoying hosts.

Yup I was going to suggest Property Virgins - Sandra Rinimato is a Canadian real estate agent and she hosts it, but then she started serching for merkins as well in the US.

Um, there is Urban/Suburban too, thats Canada based but I don't watch that too much as I can't stand the brother sister team that host it.

Anything with Scott Mcgillivray gets my vote :o (does that show even have houses in it........... ? ;))

I'm investigating those right now!!

I've noticed that many of the HGTV show episodes will not play online because I'm not physically in Canada - grrr!!!

Yep I remember reading a news article that was outraged when they discovered that these shows were actually faked.

I guess they are as good a way as any though to see different neighbourhoods before you move.

I took out a film crew on a boat who were filming a Canadian exercise programme a few years ago. The were meant to be kayaking from GI to Jericho Beach but when they weren't filming we towed the two fatties most of the way. It put me right off reality television as its not all that it seems. :thumbdown:
