Re: what's the least rainy season in london?
There's an awful lot of talk on here about how wet London is. It simply
isn't true! I can think of many many parts of the world that have a lot more rainfall than London. Re: what's the least rainy season in london?
More like 1700-1800 sunshine hours per year.

You might have beautiful sunshine in the morning and drizzle all afternoon. This is why the English are so obsessed with discussing and forecasting the weather. Having said that, purely from a weather POV your best bet is probably to visit in June-August, when there is at least a good chance of hot, dry days. The rest of the year you're pretty much guaranteed not to get that combination, or at least not for long. |

The lowest rainfall (by a few percent) is in February and March but it's miserably cold then so it's not a great trade-off. miguel -- Hit The Road! However, in July and August the rain will probably be warm, which is how we tell when it is summer. Colin Bignell |

But there's only a handful of cities that have more rainy days. In somewhere like Jakarta, sure, it rains, in fact it rains like crazy, but then it stops and leaves you alone for a while. miguel -- Hit The Road! The mythical month of Febtember. ;) To put things in perspective, I read a quote I found a while back: "There is no such thing as bad weather, merely inappropriate clothing." |
