Proxy server to watch UK tv
Hi
Does any one know of a reliable proxy server that I can use so I can watch UK TV online? Seems like you can watch ITV online via their website but it is only for UK residents. A friend of mine found a proxy server once and it worked but the ip address for that proxy server has since dissapeared and the ones we have tried since have not worked. Thanks |

or Slingbox apparently allows you to watch UK cable TV through your PC. |

Good idea. Can I get a proxy server to watch Canadian TV? 'cos I can't be bothered with either of them.

Re: Proxy server to watch UK tv
I occasionally use
www.liveuktv.com They offer week long free trials..I just generate a new gmail address and sign up over again. Its seems to work pretty well, for watching england footy games and the like thats arent available on cable here Otherwise a simple proxy service I found usefull was www.surfeverywhere.com and to access radio five I use the uk google site to "translate" it, and it thinks I am in the UK regardless of where I am. http://translate.google.com/translat...language_tools I guess you go to http://translate.google.com/ and paste in the url |

Erm, maybe I'm missing something but why can't you just go to the bbc website and listen live the Radio 5 directly? http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/
If you go direct to the home page you get the "not available in your location" recording. You have to have the whole long string of a url of the little embeded feed thats cropped off from sight in the link above in the translator for it to work when those particular restrictions apply. |

If I could be so bold to ask do you have similar link for 5 live extra too, as same happens to this station in uk re licenses! Many Thanks David:rofl: |

You have to right click the properties on the link to the player on the five page, and copy the target url, then paste it in the google translator page.

Hi All.
Not exactly a live stream but if you want to catch up on UKTV for quite a bundle of stuff you could do no worse than try www.uknova.com Use the proxy variation if it wont work if your out of the UK, but AFAIK it works where ever you live have fun :) John |

http://translate.google.com/translat...&hl=en&ie=UTF8 Now that the footie has started, I followed your instructions to copy url into translate, but it doesn't work. It still stops the player for matches especially when on Sky. So, tonight I used your link further up the thread and that too doesn't work. Is there something I may be missing? Many thanks Sadshirt  |
