I used the search function and found an excellent post with lots of tips, but unfortunately from 2007!! Relevance is therefore a little limited being 10 years out of date.

Looking for sofas, dining table and chairs, coffee tables, bedside tables, and out door furniture. Don't want to resort to IKEA.
Any help would be most welcome.

If you want a Portuguese style, Decoradora Bela in Almádena (& other locations) and for outdoor furniture, Moveison in Chinicato. Both tend towards the expensive end of the spectrum.

The new Ikea is very good we visited it in May & it has a really good selection. Good reasonably priced furniture stores are very hard to fund in Portugal as we have found them to be vastly overpriced.

Not Western but Conforama in Guia by Overseas/Iceland on the 125 is good.
