Also you need a dry room as it's very damp here in the Algarve in the winter

What is the cost and availability.
Do you know anyone Who has actually done it.
The world is still waiting for Tesla man to do more than theorise and actually start production of an efficient system and that could meet the demand.

And here is an interesting product to add (A 'diverter') which gives you more choice about where your solar energy is going.

NB: It's not only for electric car owners..

When they are in volume production and available on the high street then solar can make real progress.

Panels aren't the problem, storage is.

Battery development hasn't kept up with the rest of the technology - but the push for electric vehicles makes it top priority. In both domestic and motoring, Tesla seems to be making the running.

I still can't see how Nissan, Ford, BMW and all the rest are shouting about improved capacity to give 200Km range, when Tesla already offers twice that (as well as superfast acceleration) .... early reports suggest even the new "budget" Model 3 entry level offers 300Km range and 0-60 in under 6 seconds. You'd almost think their hearts aren't in it!
