PSP brutality
PSP caught on video, video phones in everyones pocket must be a thorn on the side of idiots like this PSP "commander". This happened at the weekend when a Benfica fan took his 9 year old son out of the stadium as he felt unwell. He complained to the commander about the Police not allowing him to leave and he got beaten arrested. His eldery father also got 2 punches in the face and his 13 yr old came close to the "hand of the law" too. Later in the video the "Commander" changed his baton for an iron one that is only to be used for smashing windows or when they are facing "extreme violence".

Re: PSP brutality
Reported on this mornings TV News was , the Officer shown carrying out this brutal & unnecessary attack, was tasked by his superior's with guarding the warehouse where the Club stored the stock for the Clubs shop , This warehouse is inside the stadium!
Vídeo mostra saque a armazém do V. Guimarães - JN Live
The video clearly shows Benfica fans stealing everything they could carry , some even loading up bag's & suitcases ,also stolen from the warehouse.
The PSP are investigating
gedscottish:- The "steel" baton he used ,he should not have been carrying according to the TV & Press reports

I have been to a couple of games here when my team were playing Benfica in europeon games and I was shocked at the aggression from the PSP, totally no need for and they trying to provoke violence!
I think some good will come out of this though, Police will have to take a long gard look at themselves and the thought of every member of the public having a video recorder on their phone should make them think twice! Although apparently this was filmed by a TV crew!

Re: PSP brutality
Saw it when reported - most people who log onto Yahoo! will also see it and are likely to be shocked at the video.
No excuse for that unprevoked attack - I wonder what the chap was saying ?
Didn't appear to be goading anyone - just simply walking through.
Poor lad - we have an lad just turned 9 - puts us off going to a match - I wonder what the outcome is?
Many people have video phones these days - even those who are less well off - and the trend for taking videos and posting on You Tube is increasing.
PSP had better watch what they do perhaps ? caught on camera : can't keep getting away with it from now on, hopefully?

Re: PSP brutality
As off last nights TV News :-
The Police have not in any way /shape or form apologised to the 2 men who where beaten , & the 2 poor kids who where terrified, in fact they have not been in contact at all !
It now 5 day's since this all took place.
Perhaps the PSP are hoping this disgusting incident will just go away.
The father has issued a case against PSP Commissioner Sr Silva for "Abuse of Power" & it was reported that it is being investigated.
p.s. PSP Commissioner Silva, is still on the duty roster & working ?
Normally when there is a complaint against a Officer , the Officer is suspended from duty & has to wait the out come off the internal investigation, before returning to duty

Re: PSP brutality
The PSP Inquiry into Sub Commissioner Filipe Siva's brutal beating off a elderly man & his son in front off 2 children ,is now finally taking place.
Reported in the press :- One off the excuses given by Silva for his behaviour ,is he has "personal problems"
The Inquiry will issues it's report on 19.06.2015

Re: PSP brutality
Finally ,the internal report & recommendations over what action should be taken.
This is now up too MAI Chief Srª Anabela Rodrigues.
In my opinion, for what it's worth, he should be sacked !
Polícia de Guimarães castigado com perda de 60% do salário - Portugal - DN)
And don't forget, The "injured parties" have issued a Civil Case against Sub Commissioner Filipe Silva, when it finally gets to the courts (ha! ha!) one wonders if the Police Union he belongs too, will finance his defence ?

Some years back a friend was working in her shop when a couple of PSP came in asking about he brother - a known drug addict. When she said she hadn't seen him for several months, she was called a liar (amongst several other things) and slapped around the face - all this in front of customers. Her complaint was dismissed because "nobody could believe the word of the sister of a drug addict" .... and none of the customers was even contacted. The irony is that the PSP were responding to a complaint SHE had made 4 months previously because her brother had robbed the family home!
Arrogant macho idiots, the more who are "caught on camera", the better!
