There are several 'buy & sell used cars in Portugal' type pages on Facebook but as has been said, many UK registered cars you see there will be overstayed vehicles and/or be tax/test/MOT expired and if you're caught driving such a vehicle the GNR can & often do permanently confiscate & sell or destroy it/

Pls Help......... looks like it's urgent to get a UK reg car, then why not get a cheap flight to the UK and get a UK reg car.

If its abroad how are you going to know its basically safe/mot’d, legal, not stolen/cloned, not written off, not got defaulted loans, have several parking etc fines attached to it, been SORNd but seen on cameras, its just too risky imho, go to the uk, carry out an hpi check, ...

An ex work colleague [i hesitate to say friend] in dubai had a land cruiser, 2015 model, he went to the duty free area where there are loads of little very dodgy car import/export businesses. One of their tricks is to convert left/right hand drive, then modify bumpers etc to make cars younger, forge paperwork then export.
He had his own car cloned, from an older car and model and higher mileage, they made a copy effectively, which he exported and sold... The original will live in dubai till it croaks, but the copy is in germany and made him 25k euros in profit...

there are always second hand UK cars for sale on various facebook buy/sell Portugal groups.
There's no sure thing, but you can check the seller's facebook profile and nothing stops you from running paperwork checks.
Buying used cars is just like buying used cars. If you feel more safe with a dealer, pay more and get one from a dealer. In this case, a dealer in the UK.
