Default My home built hedge cutting machine

I have a biggish hedge...
When I planted it I planned to buy a cutting attachment for my tractor when it got big.
Then I found out what those things cost... like E5000 second hand in bad condition.

So, being a DIY type person, I decided to build my own, mostly from scrap.
This is all made in my backyard workshop here in Portugal.

Build pictures here; Hedge cutter project

Hit the link for a video of it working.

ahhhh the stigma of being an American....sigh....No, no dear heart, nothing about guns 'cept that when I got my first two-letter birthday, I was old 'nuf to get: a watch, stay up 'till 9pm and graduate from an old BB-gun to my first rifle, a single shot 22. BUT, BUT, BUT before you all holler too much, we lived remote enough that one night a cougar came and killed all our chickens and Daddy killed a meter 'n a half Diamondback rattlesnake curled up under my mamas dahlias in the garden and walking back with buckets of sticky sweet ripe pears gathered from an old homestead in the back of the property we met a bear on the track....but no stupid AK47s or anything like that. don't think they were even invented then

Thanks for all the enthusiasm everyone.
It was too much work to build really, if I'd made something more basic it would have made more sense. It was all for the fun of it, since I don't have any paid work out here.

Yeah...Europe is pretty tame and safe when it comes to deadly wild animals which might eat you or your kids, comparatively. The operative words in your post are HUNTING and RIFLE...you can't really hunt with a pistol nor an AK47 type gun.
