Iceland PORTIMAO
I stumbled across the Iceland in Portimao today; a bit larger than the one in Guia, the same products plus a snack bar.
Haven't these people heard of advertising??
Near the burger king, can't miss it

Given the current state of sterling , definetly a premium priced shop.
£8 for a large box of PG tips, double the UK prices , just one example.

I don't know Iceland-Overseas. What I understand here that it is an expensive store? So no Aldi - Lild prices?

Do not worry Aldi and Lidl are almost everywhere.
We much prefer Jumbo and Coninente.

I found beans in Aldi in Coimbra and when i made a Chilli con Carne they where great and only 79cents. In the Gois area penela, Lousa ect there is a guy who supplies shops with English food. I am told he asks that all shops charge the same price. I know of three and two are supermarkets in Vila Nova de Ceira and Vila Nova do Poiaris both owned by Ruia and Dinora also What was Pete's bar in Ponte Velha.
The prices are not as bad as at one of the markets i go to that has a guy selling English food.

overseas / iceland has some items I like; crumpets, bagels, frozen chicken pies, and a few other things I don't get in the PT supermarkets.
Sometimes they have specials with real discounts; Helmans mayo for a euro right now.
Heinz soups.
Pataks hot mango pickle
Generally, not a discount shop.
