Hi - new to the forum so apologies if anything comes across a bit odd.

I'm looking at buying an apartment or townhouse at one of the golf resorts outside Lisbon, like Campo Real or Praia del Rey. For investment purposes initially, though would like to think we could spend far more time there in later years.

Any opinions/stories to share on these developments? They look fab, but am I missing something? Always a bit cynical about supposed property boom areas - is the Silver Coast overhyped?

is it really that much cheaper than the Algarve and a better long-term investment?

Also would be interested in details of trustworthy English-speaking Portuguese lawyers who I can use for the purchase. I've heard it's not wise to use a recommendation from the seller/developer, which is quite understandable. Any other pitfalls to be wary of?
