French Air Quality Certificate
Hi
For those planning to drive in France, you will need the above certificate if you visit certain cities. The website shown below gives all the relevant details.
It is quite easy to fill in the form and it only costs just over 4 euros including postage.
One thing however is you need to send a copy of your Certificate of ownership (V5) for the UK and you need to know the Euro standard for your car.
They require your registration document to be sent in a file less than 400k and you may have to go online after scanning it to get it reduced through one of the websites that advertise this facility. The one I used allows 2 documents to be reduced without charge.
Remember, this is only for certain cities although I am sure more will follow and the police will prosecute if you do not display it.
Happy reading.

If it's so easy to get and only requires your V5, etc. then it is totally meaningless - just another trap to catch those who are unaware of this national requirement and to boost another €4 from the rest.
Thanks for the info - it may save some "transit" drivers from a fine.....

Note that the cities concerned at present are Paris/Greater Paris, Lyon, Grenoble, Lille and Strasbourg. Bordeaux is studying the feasibility of applying Crit-Air.

Re: French Air Quality Certificate
Just got ours through, received within 10 days so really quick. All info is on the website in English including how to find your Euro standard car. The most annoying bit was scanning the V5, in the end we had to photograph and reduce it. Thought it best to apply as I think a lot of cities will follow the others. Daily Mail online did a piece on this on 1st April (some thought it an April Fool!) however it did contain all the links to the site which was really helpful. Better than an on the spot fine.
