SISMO SENTIDO NA LOURINHÃ
Um sismo com magnitude de 4.3 na escala de Richter foi registado esta quinta-feira, pelas 07h44, e fez-se sentir em zonas da Grande Lisboa, Centro e Alentejo. O Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera (IPMA) confirmou que se tratou de um tremor de terra cujo epicentro se localizou a cerca de 4 km a Este-Nordeste de Sobral de Monte Agraço, próximo de Torres Vedras.
O abalo não provocou danos pessoais ou materiais, e foi sentido com intensidade máxima III (escala de Mercalli modificada).

An earthquake with magnitude of 4.3 on the richter scale was recorded this Thursday by 07, and was felt in areas of the great Lisbon, centre and alentejo. The Portuguese Institute of the sea and the atmosphere (Ipma) confirmed that it was an earthquake whose epicenter was located about 4 KM EAST OF SOBRAL DE MONTE AGRAÇO NEAR TORRES VEDRAS.
The blow did not cause personal or material damage, and was felt with Maximum Intensity III (Modified Scale).

If you felt it , you have my sympathy. I bluddy hate the things. So very random and you just cannot know if it will tail off or increase in intensity.

That is pretty small scale
,They occur all the time here as we are on a major fault line.we just don't feel them too much
We had one of 6.5 in the Netherlands some yrs back and I did feel the earth move.I thought it was a heavy truck going by on the road outside the house,until the rumble and sway went on that little bit too long. ED slept through the whole thing,so 4.3 wouldn't have woken her,even the dog didn't bark.A whole row of houses fell down in the next town though, with some slight injuries.
