I'm Scottish by design but lived in Cyprus most of my life! I moved to the Algarve about 3 years ago now and currently live in Portimao. I only came across this site today when i was looking for some internet advice in English.
Where are you from, I noticed in another thread that you moved here in October?

I am from central England. I moved here with my husband and 2 children last October. So far we're really enjoying it. We're both self-employed and its taking a while to get going, but we expected that!
I like Cyprus. What made you move from there to here?

I worked in the UK for a while after university but missed the sunshine and so got a job as a holiday rep a few years back. I worked in Skiathos in Greece for a couple of years and then got promotion and ended up here on a seasonal basis. I now work year round for a Portuguese travel agency in the office. I love it here, Portimao is not too touristy (they begin to do your head in after a while!!!) but close enough to everything if you want to be a tourist for the day!
What do you do if you're self employed?
