Working for Greek Police or Foreign Office
Hi i am a UK serving police officer and my wife wants to up sticks and move to Rhodes Greece. She has work as a Beauty Therapist and i wanted to know if anyone knows about the police service on the Greek Islands and do they have any transferring options at all.
Also does anyone know about the foreign office or that type of work in Rhodes and do they recruit and has anyone made this change from the UK to the Greek Police
A bit of a long shot i think !!!!

Hi.. we (DH & I) both got a little chuckle from the proposal. No specific experience to tell you about transferring, but the police force is national, and you could be posted anywhere in the country (they also serve a semi-military purpose).
It's hard to find 'real' work on Rodos. The one copper we knew there had to commute to Athens.
But, living there as a short term venture was great fun. My DH is retired Fire Brigade and we both did puttering type of work, as do most of our English friends sti Rodos.
There's another new member here with the nick 'Haraki'.. you might want to look him up for some current contacts.
Good luck!
