I believe it's classes as transitional. The recruit ones are for a longer period whereas transitional are for 13 weeks. Well that's my understanding of it.

I don't think there is a psych test, what will most likely happen is there is going to be a police psychologist during your interview and that's it. So just fintess and interview to pass. Then the long medical/financial/visa process.

From what I understand the recently graduated transitional squad (the first of the new recruitment campaign) was 13 weeks but they are now thinking that they will extend the upcoming ones to 15 weeks. Obviously they have think they need to cover more ground in the course.
