Once someone has done the test day, could they just post up how long the day was. I know the email said 9-2 but am hoping it'll be a little shorter.

Nothing abt the tests, i want those to be a surprise.

Hello to all doing the tests and good luck. Anyone that knows Adelaide, can you let me know the best property search engine, like Rightmove.

Any info on where to look would help, just in case we get through!

www.domain.com.au or
www.realestate.com.au are the best two housing sites

I can't say I enjoyed the testing, fingers crossed though! It's going to be a long three weeks to find out...

I don't think you could have revised for the Psychometric testing its all about you and what you think!!!

We have not said anything to anyone about doing this yet (apart from friends in Adelaide !) just going to see how we get along - its defo going to be a long 3 weeks. I just hope we have done enough !!!!

I have been looking for houses and schools but I am too scared to make phone calls incase I find something really nice and cant have it.

Hope you have done good :-)

Don't get too tied up with looking at houses or areas until way down the line. My best advice, having come out on the last intake is to have an idea where you would like to go, but don't get set on it. You get to choose preferences of where you want to be posted, but sapol sometimes don't take any notice. My first choice was West Adelaide, second East Adelaide- posted to - Elizabeth! Where you are posted may have a big effect on where you may end up living. Currently you can't apply for Sturt or South Coast as a new recruit. The policing is different and for a lot of people is very frustrating. The lifestyle is what it is all about here. The whole process you have just started is quite stressful but, 1 year on, I wouldn't be anywhere else. Good luck everyone, from and ex Surrey Sgt.
