Default Psychometric/entrance test?

Hi there, recently returned from living in oz. I'm a nurse, hubby is a copper. We are planning to return (once house is sold etc), however husband is having HUGE doubts! He loves his job (rural response officer in Suffolk) and doesn't want to give it up, without having the guarantee of being in a force in oz! Problem is he cannot apply until a) our PR visa is through and b) we're living in the country again! He's also concerned that he won't get through the psychometric testing. Qld force have painted this picture of it being really harsh (he says the tests for Suffolk were pretty easy), so just how 'harsh and competitive' is it? he's also concerned about his age (33)! He has told me that if Qld Police called him today and told him he had a place on the PACE programme, he'd fly out tomorrow! Any advice grateful, a very confused me

Annie,
If your hubby applies under PACE when he gets his PR then he wont have to sit the psychometric testing as this is for new applicants only.

many thanks Jamie, things more confusing here as Mark is now in Air Ops and loves it. The post is for five years, altho he has stated he's willing to leave (reluctantly)! Good luck and any info you have would be gratefully received!
