Re: Edmonton Police Service
it axctually took 2 trips to sort everything out, but here is my mate Dave who did it a couple of years ago..... (a serving police officer with EPS)
it can be done in one trip but it is fairly intensive and certainly wont be much fun for families if they are with you. for those of you attending Sandown or eithe rof the info/testing sessions at London and Birmingham i hope to be able to answer most of your questions and without trying to get peoples hopes up there may be a resolution as to the pay issue. i will let you know at the time once i have heard from recruiting (Im currently on holiday in Southampton)
As for the decision, best one i ever made, even having gone through training with grumpy Geoff HOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys and gals...
I was doing this recruiting process, and realised about the costs involved with paying for your own training. Thats ok if you intend to stay 4 years and they eventually repay you, but if you dislike it or have to come back after 6 months, you're $50,000 down arent you?
I'm undecided still....

Yep!
Passed the APCAT, now I have to wait on the result of the WCT and make sure I'm in shape so I can go to Edmonton for the rest if I passed !
Edmonton looks like a fantastic place and the officers were very encouraging.
Here's hoping !
What about yourself?

Re: Edmonton Police Service
Can anyone who attended the London EPS roadshow tell me if it was oversubscribed?
I recently found out about the roadshow and was hoping to attend the NEC event. I have contacted EPS recruiting regarding registration, but have been told "you will just have to show up on the day and see if they can accommodate you".
I dont fancy a trip from Tyneside for nothing, so would appreciate any help or advice I can get.

They had a few places extra due to people not attending in London, so my advice would be 'go for it'. Get up that motorway and do the exams i'm sure they will accomodate!
