I've made a similar post on the Aussie thread but thought I'd try here too.
When I make the move in October I plan to rent my UK house out until the market improves.
I just wondered if anyone else has done the same and can offer some advice regarding the best bank account for moving money between the UK and Aus, and the tax side of things?

Use a broker to filter your money through. Any of the main banks are fine but you will get a better interest using a intermediate rather than directly transferring large amounts. Be aware, u will start with zero credit rating if you don't look at opening an account soon
