UK Plumber and UK nurse wanting move from UK to Canada

Hi,

Myself, my husband and our two children are wanting to move to Canada.
I am 28 and nearly a qualified nurse (March) my husband is 30 and a qualified plumber.
Is the UK plumber qualifications enough to meet Canadian requirements for a skilled worker Visa?

Thanks

Hi, and welcome to BE.

A fully qualified UK plumber should meet the Canadian requirements for a FSW visa assuming that he scores over 67 and has worked as a plumber full-time for at least a year. Although do note that unless your husband scores over approx 450 on the CRS, he's unlikely to get selected from the pool even if he does qualify.

So you may well find that he'll need a job offer to get those extra points.

HTH, good luck.
