Default working legally as a freelance photographer

How can I work legally as a freelance photographer in the Philippines? What would be the set up and costs? Which visa, is it possible to get a work permit?

(I have no Philippines relations and would be moving across from the UK)

Many Thanks

Suggest that you contact the Bureau of immigration and ask them

Even if you managed to get a working visa - which I doubt, remember the prices you can charge here will be very low compared to UK.Unless of course you intend selling your photos outside of the Philippines.
Can I ask if you specialise in a particular area? Fashion, commercial?
As a foreigner, you'll soon discover it's VERY difficult to work legally here. Mikemike is correct, contact the BI - who knows, you may be lucky!

Every small town in the Philippines has a photography business or two taking wedding videos, id photos, beauty queen photos, graduation photos etc. The Philippines is very protective of its indiginous businesses. Basically foreign worker are not wanted and are discouraged wherever possible.

Not too sure of your age and intentions with what you photograph.

If you are over 35 ( I think, check with PRA ) then you can get a retirement visa, no need to know anyone here or have even visited Philippines.

If you are taking photos in the Philippines for sale overseas then you may get around the need for a "Work" visa, I am sure that many on this site will correct me if I am wrong in this assumption.

If you are thinking of taking photos in the Philippines for sale in the Philippines then I think from the previous replies you probably have your answer.
